Cleaning
Preserve the beauty of your silk by storing it flat and untied. Avoid contact with rain, water and other chemicals, and entrust it to a professional dry cleaner when needed.
If you happen to get makeup on silk, dab at the stain with 100% pure alcohol or hydrogen peroxide applied to a cotton ball. Do not rub the stain, just dab at it. If the stain is still resisting, gently rub the area with a toothbrush to loosen the stain. Then repeat the blot technique.
Steaming
The best way to remove creases in silk is to steam or iron on a very low temperature.
Use a fine mist spray bottle and spray water on the wrinkled area. Remember not to wet the area more than necessary, as drying will take time. A hair dryer can also be used to blow hot air on the slightly wet area so as to free it from wrinkles. Hot air will dry the area and remove the creases.
